Sony PlayStation is known for pioneering the online gaming experience.
Now, PlayStation is combining its Plus and Now subscription services to form a three-tiered membership plan that offers players an extensive back-catalog of classic titles, exclusive discounts, multiplayer access and even game trials. Behold, PlayStation Plus!

Sony's latest efforts guide longtime gamers into the online gaming world and introduce a new generation of fans of PlayStation -- originally launched in 1994 -- to an online-first experience for classic titles like Grand Theft Auto, Shadow Warrior and Mortal Kombat.
The main difference between Sony's Plus plans, beside price, is in the offering of the PlayStation catalog. The Japanese gaming giant has segmented its consoles by generation and according to whether players can download or stream titles. Additionally, only the Premium plan will offer players game trials.

"The newly enhanced PlayStation Plus will enable our fans to discover and engage with more content than ever before, and deepen their connection with the PlayStation community through shared experiences," he said, underscoring Sony's developments in the metaverse of gaming.
Sony players can opt to pay for their Plus plan in monthly, quarterly and yearly installments. The yearly plans offer up to 56% off the monthly price.
